There are a ton of marketing mediums offline that you have at your disposal.
If you haven't considered them or haven't taken advantage of them yet, I suggest that you do so right away.
It doesn't matter if your primary business is online and you're looking for ways to promote it offline - you can take advantage of the different offline marketing mediums to further increase your business.
If your primary business is online, then I'm sure you're aware of how tough it is to get a customer in today's economic climate.
People are cutting back on spending and folks just aren't buying the way that they used to.
This is why if you want to stay in business, you have to do whatever it takes to convey your marketing message in more ways than one.
If your primary business is offline, then I'm sure you're feeling the sting also.
There are brand name companies that recently went out of business due to the rough economic climate.
It make me wonder however why they didn't utilize a ton of marketing mediums to their advantage if they wanted to stay in business.
Well it doesn't matter if your main business is online or offline - you need to stay competitive if you want to succeed in business.
And one of the best ways to do that is by utilizing a variety of marketing mediums.
In this article however, we will mainly focus on offline marketing strategies.
If you aren't currently using offline marketing to your advantage, then you should be.
Offline marketing mediums are known to have higher conversion rates than marketing strategies online.
There is the additional cost of doing business offline, but sometimes these costs can be diminished by an increase in sales and profits.
I want to share with you some of the marketing mediums that I have used in the past to market my business offline.
Here's the first technique that I have used successfully to my advantage.
1) Postcard marketing The cost of getting your message out there via postcards are significantly lower than strictly doing direct mail.
With a perfectly crafted message, your postcard can really hit home with your customer and inspire them to buy.
This is especially true if you're used to using autoresponders to follow up on your past customers and clients.
I believe the current rate to mail out a letter via direct mail is $0.
That's roughly 50 cents a letter.
So if you wanted to mail out 1000 letters, you would have to spend $500 just on postage.
We haven't included the cost of the envelopes, the cost of printing, the cost of the paper, and other costs.
But with postcard marketing, a lot of these costs go away.
To craft an effective postcard, make sure that you lead with a strong headline.
You want to design your postcard in the same way that you write an ad.
Imagine that you're creating a display ad, and write out the same thing on your postcard that you would do your ad.
Then simply mail it out.
This is all that you have to do to have success with postcard marketing.
Let's take a look at one of another marketing mediums that you can use.
2) Newspaper advertising A great idea for doing newspaper advertising is to do an advertorial.
This is where you design and create an ad that looks like an article or an editorial.
Of course it shows your reader some benefits and it should relate to your business in a way, but for the most part it's designed to get you promotion.
If an advertorial isn't your thing, you could try running small display ads.
You can even take this idea further and run a classified ad.
There are a ton of people looking in the classifieds each day so you can lay rest assured that your message will be looked at there.
I've used classified advertising very effectively in the past, and I got good results from it.
You should consider both of these marketing mediums to further promote your business.
Both strategies are low cost and can really deliver a lot of bank for your buck.
Good luck with using these marketing mediums to your advantage.
